Selling
Getting Paid
Draft pending legal review.
When your item sells, the buyer pays FastSport, and we hold the payment until the buyer has their item and is happy with it. Then we pay you. This protects you and the buyer: the buyer knows their money is safe until the item arrives, and you know the buyer has already paid before you hand your item to the courier.
What you're paid
- You're paid exactly the price you set for each item you sell.
- The buyer pays your price plus a FastSport service fee, and the delivery fee. Neither comes out of your money. You see the price buyers pay when you list the item.
- If FastSport puts your item on special, you're still paid your full price.
When you're paid
- Your item sells. We email you what sold and how much you'll be paid for it.
- The courier collects and delivers it. Have it packed and ready for collection within the timeframe we give you.
- The sale completes when the buyer confirms delivery, or automatically 48 hours after delivery if the buyer hasn't reported a problem. We email you when this happens.
- We pay you by EFT into the bank account on your seller profile, and email you the amount, the payment reference and the sales it covers. One payment can cover several sales.
Banks can take up to 2 business days to show an EFT. If a payment we've emailed you about hasn't arrived after that, contact us.
When a payment is held
We hold payment for an order while:
- the item hasn't been delivered yet;
- the buyer has a refund request open on that order; or
- we're looking into a delivery dispute, suspected fraud or another concern about the sale.
Only the order concerned is held. Your other sales are paid as normal.
If the buyer gets a refund
- If the item arrived damaged or wasn't as described and we approve a refund, we pay for the courier to return the item to you, and you aren't paid for that order.
- If the courier loses the parcel after collecting it from you, you're still paid.
- If we decline the request, the sale completes and you're paid.
The best way to make sure you're paid is an honest listing with clear photos that show any wear or damage. See Seller Obligations for what a listing needs.
Your bank details
- We pay into the bank account on your seller profile. Keep it correct and up to date under Edit seller profile on your profile page.
- Before we can pay you, upload proof of that bank account (a bank letter or statement) on your profile page. We check it once per bank account, not for every sale. Until it's verified, your sales still complete, but their payouts wait.
- If you change your bank name, account type, branch code or account number, the proof on file is removed. Upload proof of the new account, and payouts wait until it's verified. You can keep selling in the meantime.
- Your bank details are stored encrypted, and only a masked version is shown on screen.
